Shelton, Washington Home Exchange
Located between Shelton and Olympia in southern Mason County, our 3 bedroom 2 bath home awaits you! Built in 1990, our home is "in the woods" at end of a quiet street adjacent to managed forestland. We can sleep 6 in a king, two twins, and a queen sofa bed.
Our yard is landscaped with native vegetation, wildflowers, annuals, and perennials. The luxuriant growth attracts a variety of wildlife. Birds frequent the feeders and bath, including towhees, waxwings, juncos, jays, grosbeaks, doves, chickadees, and nuthatches. Deer wander through, and hawks visit occasionally seeking a bird snack!
Our location is well-situated for exploring western Washington. Within two hours, you can visit wild Pacific Coast beaches, explore the expanses of Olympic or Mt. Rainier National Parks, stare in awe at the devastation and recovery in progress at Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, sightsee in beautiful cities such as Olympia (the capital), Gig Harbor, Port Angeles, and Seattle, the Emerald City. Puget Sound beaches are a short drive away, where you will find great fishing, swimming, boating, and crabbing! A little farther afield, take a ferry to the San Juan Islands or Vancouver Island, Canada, home of Victoria.
We seek home exchange trades of 2 to 4 weeks, preferably in the spring or fall. Our preferred destinations include New Zealand, Australia, Costa Rica/Belize, Cabo/Mexican west coast, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, Yellowstone area, areas near other western National Parks, and central Oregon. Don't be afraid to make a suggestion if you don't see your location in our list! We also seek long weekend exchanges during the summer for areas within driving distance.
This is home.

The separate dining area can be used either as a formal or informal setting.

The living area is a "great room", with the sectional sofa at its center, and a toasty wood stove in the corner. Entertainment is provided by a 30" TV, stereo receiver, CD player, VCR, and speaker system.
Sit on the deck, BBQ some salmon, and relax amid the lush vegetation.
