Seattle Country Settled on the edge of the Puget Sound, Seattle/King Country has both the city of Seattle and great natural attractions that continuously bring visitors to this small region of the state. The city of Seattle offers so much to do; it’s hard to find a place to start. Begin your day by visiting everything you have ever heard of: the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and the home of Starbucks. Spend the rest of your day visiting the less-known attractions of the city: take a ferry to Blake Island, the Nordic Heritage Museum, tour the International District, or take the kids to the Maritime Discovery Center. After touring the city, get out into the rural areas and visit Skykomish, a historical railroading town. Right outside of Stevens Pass in the National Forest's Alpine Lakes Wilderness region, the outdoorsman will find ample hiking and biking trails in the area. |
