The Panhandle

Walk down Concho Avenue, a historic district with antique shops, cafes, and the famous Miss Hattie's Museum. A great state park in the area is right outside of the oil town of Abilene. Camp at Abilene State Park, where there is a huge grove of pecan trees and you can picnic, swim, hike, and fish. Wichita Falls has plenty of attractions for the whole family. The city is home to over 38 parks featuring swimming, boating, and fishing, Plex Entertainment Center with bumper cars, putt-putt, go-karts, and a video arcade, and Graham Central Station, an entertainment center with five dance clubs under one roof. From wild nights to lazy days, this region of Texas has it all. |

It’s a blazing hot summer afternoon, but the scorching heat does not seem to affect the crowds at Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels. Some of them are enjoying a drink at the floating bar.
