Wildlife For Company
As if the palms and beaches were not enticing enough, this island springs amazements such as platoons of baby turtles scurrying to the waterline. The giant loggerhead turtles prefer the sands of Isle of Palms in which to lay their eggs safely. The island even has a team to carry out turtle census every year! Through your binoculars, you could also try to follow an osprey or two as they make the palms in this coastal region their home as well. You may also catch a glimpse of pelicans swooping for food and dolphins wallowing playfully in the blue waters. |
