Welcome to Stoneybrook Cottages
Here you will find our cool and tranquil mountain valley, a peaceful retreat. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Upstate South Carolina is a place where one can enjoy peace and nature, as well as many other activities.
Our cottages, or cabins as we sometimes call them, are fully equipped with all the amenities one might need. Including a full kitchen, deck, outdoor lounging and cooking equipment,and plenty of room for a family retreat or a single-person getaway.
We are located in the foothills of the Blue ridge Mountains near Caesars Head, Table Rock and Jones Gap State Parks. Lakes Keowee and Jocassee are just a short drive down South Carolina's Scenic Highway 11 also know as the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway. Many attractions abound in the area as well, and most are only a short drive away. Perhaps one might want to ride the granite slide at Sliding Rock in the Pisga National Forest, or check out the Biltmore House and Flatrock Playhouse in Asheville. Stroll into Greenville and take in a production at The Peace Center for the Performing Arts or a venue at the Bi-lo Center.
Maybe you prefer golfing. There are many public and semi-private courses to choose from, some only 20 minutes away, but nearly 15 courses less than an hours drive. Hike trails in the parks, or the Duke Foothills Trail. Enjoy Raven Cliff Falls, the tallest falls in South Carolina, and one of the tallest in the Eastern United States. If you are into shopping, there are several outlets with over 100 stores each within an hours drive in any direction. And, when you've had enough, end up back at your cozy cottage. Though around here, a person doesn't need to go anywhere to enjoy the great outdoors.
Back at the cabin one can relax and fish for trout while the kids play tetherball, washers, horseshoes or wade in the stream looking for treasure. We are surrounded by thoudsands of acres of uninhabited, conservation and state park land. Go exploring in the woods. Pull up a lounge chair near the bonfire, roast marshmallows, and enjoy the clean night air and abundant stars. Make your stay just the way you want it.
