The Folk Craft Center Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of Amish Country. The Folk Craft Center complex includes an 1851 residence, a half-timbered and brick Museum which houses two floors of antiques and artifacts interpreting early Pennsylvania lifestyles and culture, and a 1762 Log Cabin. It is truly an antique lover's paradise.
The lovingly restored 1851 residence/country store's rooms overlook an Amish Farm. The two acres include gardens, lawns and benches, an herb garden and fish pond... There are two large gathering social rooms on the first floor for relaxing, reading or watching TV. The side and front porches have rockers, benches and chairs for "buggy watching". Each guestroom is air-conditioned and has a private bath. The Peru Room, decorated with artifacts from Peru, offers two twin beds and a large closet. Featuring a double-size antique poster bed and large armoire, The Betsy Ross Room holds a patriotic theme to its decor. The Amish Quilt Room, furnished with antique birds-eye maple furniture, is accented with an antique patchwork quilt hanging over a queen size bed. Lastly, the Master Suite is a three room suite with an antique poster bed, private bath and a two-person Jacuzzi with cathedral ceiling and sky light.
A full country breakfast is served in the rustic dining room or summer kitchen. During your stay, you can visit the Folk Craft Museum on site, displaying an exceptionally fine collection of Pennsylvania German antiques and folk art. A billiard room is always available for guests who enjoy a friendly game now and again. The inn is located just seven miles east of Lancaster and only a few miles from outlet shopping and all major attractions. Outdoor recreation can be found minutes away, including tennis, golf, hiking, and biking. Of course, antiquing is infamous in the area, featuring old heirlooms, crafts, and one-of-a-kind quilts.
Return to a more genteel and relaxing time at Folk Craft Center Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Amish Country.
