Our 150-year old Artist's Inn and Gallery was "updated" with Victorian porches some time before the turn of the century. More recent changes include central air conditioning, private baths, Jacuzzi whirlpool baths, massage shower and fireplaces. Every morning features a different four-course candlelight breakfast, all prepared from scratch with fresh local produce. Amish attractions, shopping outlets, hiking, biking, golf, tennis, skiing, museums and antique shopping in Adamstown are all convienent to The Artist's Inn.
Welcome the new year with a romantic, peaceful getaway. Browse the many antique and specialty shops, enjoy candlelight dinners in century-old restaurants, and shop the outlets. Later, relax with a massage in the privacy of our inn. And, if we're lucky enough to get snow, take a sleigh ride. Come relax, and enjoy. Our rooms are dressed for winter with flannel sheets, cozy quilts and featherbeds.
~The Kriss Kringle Room
The Kriss Kringle room is decorated in French antiques, Waverly fabrics of forest green and cranberry and pictures of Kriss's favorite subject - Christmas! It is also home to Jan's first antique -a child's sleigh from about 1850 - in keeping with the age of the house. This room features a queen-sized bed, private bathroom with shower and a gas stove/fireplace. The price per night is $105.
~The Rose Room
The Rose Room features hand-painted walls with roses cascading down. They create a romantic atmosphere as do the century-old furnishings. A queen size featherbed and private bath with Jacuzzi whirlpool tub for one make your stay a relaxing one. The room is available for $110/night. The adjoining Puzzle Room has a gas stove/fireplace, couch, table and chairs, and rocker and may be rented as the Rose Room Suite for $159. Otherwise, the Puzzle Room is used as a common room. We are proud to say that this room was recently featured in the book, Beautiful Bedrooms by Tina Skinner.
~The Garden Suite
The Garden Suite, our most luxurious and private room, has become the most popular. Enjoy the two-person whirlpool tub, massage shower, daybed and gas stove/fireplace in the sitting room and retreat to the king size featherbed in the bedroom. The second floor porch is perfect for star-watching. We have added a hand-made (by one of our guests!) bargello quilt. You can reach The Garden Suite through the private porch and may enter and leave the inn from that entrance. The price is $179.
