It's no secret that the motion of rocking can be incredibly soothing and relaxing. That' s why Rock-A-Bye has rocking chairs in every room of the house (except the bathrooms of course). Rock-A-Bye offers a unique blend of Victorian charm, country hospitality and the convenience of a downtown location. Restaurants, a movie theater, golf course and events at Millersville University all within walking distance. Millersville is a great place from which to explore the sites of Lancaster county. It is only minutes from downtown Lancaster and the many attractions of the Amish Dutch Country. Also, as guest of Rock-A-Bye, you are given special off hours access to the on site antique and collectibles shop. Who knows, you might just find something you've always wanted.

Ann and Bill Welcome you into their home both young and old. Being parents and grandparents we understand the need to vacation in pleasant environment. We can offer various tracks to museums, crafters, amusements, outdoor activities, and restaurants to suit your needs. Within walking distance you can indulge in food and activity. When fruit is in season, the families can help us make grape juice, apple cider and apple juice. We will serve you a hardy breakfast in the morning before you begin your days exploring.
Amish Farms and Crafts 15min. We are just minutes away through the back country to working farms, farm stands and craft buildings loaded with the fine craftsmanship in wood and material. Most are not open on Sunday and close at the latest at 8pm, so plan your day accordingly. There are lecture areas for both the Amish and the Mennonite sects.
Conestoga Museum 5 min. This is a fairly new museum that is being enlarged by leaps and bounds. The Conestoga wagon was manufactured in this area and also the Indian history is reflected in this museum. Well worth the few minutes to go over the countryside. This is located in Conestoga, just outside Millersville.
Fulton Opera House 15 min You can listen to upcoming artists and known artists at the Fulton. The opera house has been fully renovated, and you will find either theater or musical entertainment most week-ends. This is located in Lancaster city.
Hans Herr House 15 min This is the oldest known building in Lancaster County. It is best to plan on visiting this site when special evens are happening, such as the apple craft season. It is located just outside Willow Street.
Hershey Park 40 min You can travel north on 283 to Hershey to take in all the sites they have to offer: Hershey Park, Hershey Chocolate Factory, outside arena entertainers, sports arena, Hershey Gardens, and Indian Echo Caverns.
Lancaster Outlet Malls 15 min Rockvale and Tanger outlet malls are a quick drive thrugh the Amish countryside. This strip of route 30 will supply shopping desires, food desires and entertainment.
Living Waters 15 min A show of water set to music will provide an afternoon or evening of entertainment for you and your family. Ride from our home through the Amish countryside, and you will be there.
Strasburg Railroad Museum 15 min One of the largest steam engine museums on the east coast can be enjoyed by the whole family. You can also visit Thomas the train when he is in residence. There are shopping an picnicking areas.
Dutch Wonderland 15 min. A family filled day of amusement is yours for the asking. Taking back roads from Millersville, through the Amish countryside, will exit you onto route 30 and all the entertainment it has to offer.
New this year are some rides and the miniature golf. Upgraded with new ideas and fresh paint.
