The Roebling Inn offers graceful, private living in a classic Greek Revival mansion at the confluence of two pristine rivers--the Delaware and the Lackawaxen (meaning "swift water" in native Indian dialect). Innkeepers Donald and JoAnn Jahn have created a more than ordinary B&B. We provide not only comfortable, tastefully appointed guest rooms along with a sumptuous breakfast, but genuine hospitality in the unique hamlet of Lackawaxen. In a setting of striking rustic beauty, we are also your hosts and reference to an area unusually rich in historical significance, sightseeing, and activities: downhill skiing, hiking, horseback riding, antiquing, waterfalls, rafting and canoeing, as well as, fine local restaurants, theater and the arts. Stroll along Scenic Drive and you'll see the Zane Grey Museum, where he lived and wrote Riders of the Purple Sage. You'll also see Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct, our namesake and world's oldest wire cable suspension bridge (1848). It served as John Roebling's prototype for his later work, the Brooklyn Bridge. Tennis courts, fly fishing instruction, bald eagle viewing in winter, and spectacular autumn foliage are just steps away. Hike or cross-country ski at Minisink Battleground Park, the site of a Revolutionary War battle. Or let us direct you to hidden waterfalls for a profound escape from urban stress. In the evening, sample one of the area's many wonderful restaurants (two within walking distance). Upon returning to the Inn, you may wish to stargaze from the front porch, chat with other guests, or retire to your guestroom ( some with gas fireplace and all with private bath, TV, and air-conditioning).

Donald and JoAnn Jahn bought The Roebling Inn on the Delaware in 1985 and kept your comfort in mind throughout their restoration process. Now they both wear many "hats" to make your stay pleasant and peaceful so that you feel at home and come back often.

The Roebling Inn is truly a Bed and Breakfast for all seasons. In the spring and summer, the pristine Delaware River offers a wide variety of recreational activities, the autumn foliage on the surrounding Pocono and Catskill Mountains is spectacular, and winter brings skiing at nearby Ski Big Bear and Tanglewood, as well as cross-country skiing at Minisink Battleground Park . Each one of our rooms has a private bath, air conditioning, cable television, great beds (most queen-size) surrounded by lots of country antiques. We serve a generous country breakfast of juice, fruit, cereal, pancakes, bacon and eggs, omelets and piping hot coffee. Breakfast is served from 8 am to10 am and earlier upon request. Smoking is limited to the cottage and the outdoor porch areas of the main inn. From May through October, a minimum stay of two nights on weekends is required and three nights on most holidays. Rates are per room, per night, per couple. Children under 12 can be accommodated in the cottage only.
