The Brooke Mansion, Victorian Inn, is the only known Bed and Breakfast attributed to renowned architect Frank Furness. Elaborate displays of fine ornate woodwork and creative architectural design are found throughout the 42 room mansion.
Constructed in 1888 as a wedding present for his wife by industrialist Edward Brooke, the three-story mansion contains a magnificent foyer with grand staircase, stained glass, ironwork, and a circular rose wood library all of which are outstanding examples of Furness’s suburban architecture.
All rooms have private baths, some with original claw-foot tubs.
The inn is a few minutes drive to antiquing in Adamstown, Morgantown or Kutztown, as well as the Reading Outlets, and nearly attractions such as Hopewell Village, St. Peter’s Village, Nolde Forest, and French Creek State Park and the Amish Country.

Mr. Edward Brooke\'s Room
Mr. Edward Brooke’s Room is across the hall on the second floor. A spacious room with the comfort of a king-size bed, and
ornate woodwork. Relax in the claw foot tub. Private bath, original nickel-plated fixtures.This room is in a much darker wood, yes, in the Victorian era husbands and wives slept in different rooms. Everything is original as far as woodwork, and fireplace. $110-125 (in season)
Cornelia\'s Room
Cornelia’s Room is on the third floor. A king-size four poster bed, lots of nooks and crannies, private bath with claw foot tub and shower. Doilies, flowered wallpaper, original floor and shuttered windows. This room is named after a still living daughter-in-law, who was the wife of son George. $125-145 (in season)
Mrs. Brooke\'s Room
This room is within the turret on the second floor. King-size bed, original shuttered windows, ceiling fan, and adjoining sitting room, with stained glass. A private bath with original soaking tub. Consists of the main bedroom, and a dressing room. $135-145 (in season)
Mathew Brooke\'s Room
This 25 foot diameter room is on the the third floor, within the turret. Originally the brooke children’s playroom, the built-in toy boxes are still there. King-size bed, Large private bath with claw foot tub and shower, window air in the bedroom. In all hallways there is a built in maid’s closet with a firehose that extends as long as that floor. $135-145 (in season)

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit 22 at Morgantown, take I-176 North to the Route 724 Shillington Exit. Follow Route 724 east (a right turn off the exit) about 7 miles to Furnace Street in Birdsboro. Make a right turn onto Furnace, then a right onto First Street, followed by a left on Washington Street. Follow to the mansion.
