Amenities: Our new Scottish themed, real log cabins offer all of the amenities you would expect from a luxury resort. Private decks with hot tubs, beautiful views, stone wood-burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, Towels & linens, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, hair dryer, paper products are all here for your convenience. All you need to bring are your clothes and groceries!

The cabins are upscale and beautifully decorated in Scottish decor and tartans as well as hand-made log furniture and antiques.
Enjoy a beautiful moonlit night with your signifant other gazing at the stars while soaking in your private, steamy hot tub. Then, cozy up in front of the beautiful fireplace (firewood provided) for a wonderfully romantic evening.
Our cabins are situated on 26 beautiful acres with nature trails, stream fed koi ponds, swings (for the "kid" in all of us!), an 18-hole, Scottish themed (of course!) miniature golf course, and horseshoe pit. We also have authentic Scottish Highland "coos" (cows) as well as a small herd of miniature horses for you to feed an apple or carrot to during your stay.
We also have a 400+ title video library for your use just in case you don't see anything that you would like to see on your premium channel satellite t.v. that offers over 150 channels. Cabins are equipped with VCR as well as a stereo c.d. and tape player. In short---you won't be "roughing it" at Scottish Woods, but will have the most relaxing and romantic vacation that you can imagine!
Activities: Feel free to explore our entire property---we love for our guests to experience the beauty of Scottish Woods! We have bird feeders on the porch for the "bird watchers". You will see Cardinals, Blue Jays, and scores of other bird species here! We even have resident pair of hawks who often provide us with dazzling aerobatics as they swoop over the vineyard.
Enjoy a walk to our ponds. Feed our koi and look for the other wildlife. Frogs, turtles, woodchucks and deer according to the season.
Stop by and pick up a couple of putters and golf balls and try your hand at our 18-hole miniature golf course, or toss a few horseshoes! We want you to enjoy your time here to the fullest whether it be just sitting on your rocking chair enjoying the "sounds of nature", or venturing out on the nature trail! You can do as much or as little as you want to--it's your vacation!
Our area offers many wonderful activities such as white-water rafting, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, horseback riding, boating, gem mining, hiking (we have our own nature trail, but if you'd like to venture beyond our property, you can do that too without having to drive anywhere!)
We are in between two very large national forests (Cherokee and Nantahala) if you would like to explore and hike even further! Also, Joyce Kilmer Forest is only an hour away. If you are a jewelry buff, gem mining is close by, and we are only about an hour from Cherokee if you are interested in gambling at Harrah's. We are 2 hours from Asheville (the Biltmore Mansion) and only 1 1/2 hours from Chattanooga, Tennessee (World's largest fresh-water aquarium and IMAX theatre). We are two hours from the Atlanta airport. If you are here in the winter and would like to snow-ski--Maggie Valley is only 1 1/2 hours from here and the skiing is very good!
If shopping is your passion, we have several local flea markets that are right in town, as well as many antique shops in this area. We are only 38 miles from Helen, Georgia--this is an adorable Bavarian town that is very quaint and also has some outlet stores as well as a nice winery where you can do some serious wine tasting, as well as purchase wine from the locally grown grapes. There is a grist mill across the street that is one of the oldest ones in the country that is still operational! Lots of great biscuit and pancake mixes as well as gifts! A really neat spot!
We've got a cute little coffee shop in town right around the corner from our movie theatre that shows first-run movies.
We are only a 20 minute drive to the John C. Campbell Folk School where you can see many fine works of art done by local and renowned craftsmen. They also offer free concerts in season that are performed by national (and international) musicians of distinguised talent.
Area: As previously mentioned, we are 2 hours from the Atlanta airport, 2 hours from Asheville and 1 1/2 hours from Chattanooga.
We are only 12 miles from our Super Wal-Mart as well as other large grocery store chains where you can purchase just about anything that you would want.
There are several unique restaurants in and around Murphy as well as the usual fast-food chains.
No smoking inside cabin. Ashtrays are provided on the deck for outside smoking only. Due to the nature of our other resident animals (livestock, horses, dog and cats) we have a NO PET policy.
