The Trimmer House Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located in the heart of the Finger Lakes in historic downtown Penn Yan, named one of the top 100 Best Small Towns in America.
David Orville Trimmer built Trimmer House for his wife and daughters in 1891. David Trimmer was a wealthy wine merchant specializing in champagne. Opened in 1997, no expense was spared in restoring this fine example of Queen Anne architecture. What better way to visit the Finger Lakes Wine Region than by staying at this Historic Bed & Breakfast!
Proprietor Gary M. Smith, Professor of Hospitality Management at Keuka College, will attend to every detail. A variety of shops, restaurants, and boutiques are within walking distance as well as Keuka Lake and the Keuka Outlet Trail. Many wineries, craft and farm markets, hiking and bike trails, and public parks are nearby. Whatever the occasion, the Trimmer House is the perfect destination, romantic hideaway or a peaceful get-away.
Accommodations include four spacious guest-rooms, all with private baths, and two suites. A library, music room and hot tub are available for your enjoyment. Attentive hospitality, period furnishings and a full gourmet breakfast await your arrival.

David and Adda's Suite
A two room suite with queen size oak bed, in-suite private bath, fire
place, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, entertainment center,
sofa/sitting area.
This suite also features a private veranda with rocking chairs.
Bessie's Room
Situated in the tower portion of the home with queen size four poster bed and working fireplace. The in-suite private bath features a claw foot bathtub with shower surrounded by oak and brass fixtures.
The Keuka Room
Spacious first floor bedroom with a queen size four poster bed and private bath.
The Servants Room
Comfortable bedroom with full size brass bed featuring in-suite private bath with vintage claw foot bathtub and shower surrounded by oak and brass fixtures.
The "Loft"
Our most luxurious suite. Eight hundred square feet of comfort, skylights and amenities featuring a queen size bed, private bath with skylight and TV, walk in closet, writing desk, living room with fireplace and entertainment center. The loft has in–suite air conditioning, refrigerator with complimentary beverages, coffee maker and microwave.
Each guestroom features terry bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, cable TV, VCR and CD player and two phone lines in each room. There is a working fireplace in the Library that all guests may enjoy. For your comfort, the home is air conditioned. Guests have access to a video library and complimentary beverage service. We also have a hot tub for your enjoyment.
