The Lamplight Inn Bed and Breakfast
Conveniently located in Lake Luzerne – halfway between Lake George and Saratoga Springs – this 1890 Victorian Inn offers you the warmth and charm of a bygone era complete with all the modern amenities discriminating travelers have come to appreciate.
Set on 10 private acres, this delightful bed and breakfast consists of the Inn, the original caretaker’s house (Brookside Cottage), and the Carriage House. Room choices range from quaint bedrooms with original mantels, tiles and woodwork to large spacious suites with Jacuzzi tubs, color television and remote-controlled gas fireplaces. A hearty and memorable breakfast is served each morning in the spacious and sunny dining room at the main Inn.
Also at the main Inn are the common rooms where guests can gather in front of two wood-burning fireplaces for good conversation, a glass of wine, or a game of Scrabble. The large wrap around porch is a favorite gathering spot to read, relax, or just watch the world go by on a warm summer’s evening.
When you aren’t relaxing at the bed and breakfast, there are plenty of year-round activities for you to enjoy. During the summer you can swim at the beach – conveniently located one block from the Inn. In the winter, enjoy nearby downhill skiing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. And in autumn, nature takes center stage as fall foliage paints the landscape in crisp, bright colors.
Restaurants and nightclubs abound in both Saratoga and Lake George, and during July and August, Saratoga Springs is the place to be for horse racing. Throughout the Adirondack region you can find whitewater rafting, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The area also boasts numerous museums and plays summer host to many cultural events.

A Brief History
Built in 1890 as the summer home of wealthy bachelor and lumber man, Howard Conkling. No expense was spared for his home. 12' beamed ceilings, chestnut wainscoting and fabulous keyhole staircase enhance the spacious great room, now used as the guest sitting area. TV, chess, Scrabble, games and books are available. Sit by the fire, or in summer months, take a walk in the perennial garden or rock on the wrap around porch.
The Inn boasts a spacious sun porch, dining room, and 10 bedrooms in the 1890 Victorian building. A restored 2-bedroom Brookside Guest House and the 5-bedroom Carriage House. all on the Inns' wooded and trailed 10 acres. All built and restored by Gene . . . before he discovered golf!
Relax on the porches, or by the fire or take advantage of the activity of the southern Adirondack, Lake George, Saratoga Springs area.
Breakfast
Our memorable breakfast is served between 8:30am and 9:30 am. Aromas fill the Inn. The beautiful sunporch dining room draws the guests into breakfast. The dining room is bright and airy. Individual tables are set up so the guests can enjoy their privacy, or feel free to join another couple and make new friends. You will start the day relaxed as you enjoy this beautiful setting.

Fortified and ready for the day, you will be pleased with the Inn's convenient location in the southern Adirondack Mountains. Hiking and biking trails, lakes, rivers and beautiful views abound.
