The River Really Does Run Through It! This is a rustic old Montana log home, two story that sits on the banks of the Historic Clark Fork River, navigated by Lewis and Clark on the trekk westward. We have a beautiful setting with the river right out your back door. The logs are huge old growth logs from Highway 12 in Montana hand-set on site. Nothing fancy,just a soulful welcoming true Montana home with owners on site. We are developing the property into a resort/fishing lodge in the future. We are a fisherman's dream with a high volume trout filled river and ten minutes to two other famous fly fishing rivers and the famous Rock Creek stream one of the most spectacular trout streams in the United States. We have winter recreation with two ski hills right in town an easy drive from the house. We have snow mobile, dirt biking and mountain bike opportunities galour!
You can fish, swim, hike, raft and bike or simply sit in the deck chairs and drink Moose Drool Beer from our local micro-brewery. We offer exceptional customer service with owners on site. We offer concierge services such as airport transport, theatre tickets, guide services, gourmet grocery shopping, day trips and more!
The kitchen comes fully stocked, the beds are new and comfortable and the house is very clean and cozy with the gas fireplace. We want your stay to be the real Montana experience not some cheesy version of Montana! We are 5th generation Montanans and know how to entertain and make you comfortable! We also have another property on site that is a small apartment adjoining the house with it's own private entrance and balcony facing the river. It has two bunk beds and a double bed with it's own bath and kitchenette.
The property is filled with pine trees, birds, eagles, osprey and heron! This is a wide expanse of the river that is incredibly beautiful with 8 acres to wander around on star gazing, bird watching or just reading a good book. The fishing here is top notich with over 8 guide shops and outfitters in the town of Missoula! Fishing rules here, especially flyfishing! We are also an excellent spot for hunters of all typesof game. This really is a special chunk of the BigSky!
