Skier's Paradise In winter, Big Sky becomes a skier’s paradise. There are over 3,600 acres with more than 150 trails that include a 4,350-foot vertical drop. The wide-open terrain and steep chutes are only enhanced by the fact that there are no crowds here. Breathe in the crisp mountain air and take the 15-person Lone Peak Tram to the summit. The only thing better than the view is the exhilaration of skiing down the mountain in the crisp air. There are beginner lessons and you can get a good package deal that includes equipment, lessons and lift passes. Children and teenagers can participate in ski camps. With an annual snowfall of about 400 inches and activities that range from skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing to horseback riding, dogsledding and even sleigh ride dinners, winter is a vibrant time here. |
