So Much to See and Do While lazing on the sand is an attractive option, there is a lot more to see and do. For the museum lover, Ocean City Life Saving Station Museum, one of the oldest existing structures in Ocean City, is a place of much interest. The Calvin B. Taylor House Museum displays local antiques, artifacts and written histories. The Julia A. Purnell Museum is home to an eclectic collection of Eastern Shore artifacts from colonial times to the present. For a little history lesson, visit Mt. Zion One Room Country, a one-room local country school from the early 20th century. Continue your tour at the Queponco Railway Station, a restored railway station and St. Martin's Church, established in 1756. Other interesting museums worth seeing are Barnes Bank Museum and Sturgis One-Room School Museum. |
