Winter Adventure
Galena has plenty to offer for winter and outdoor sport lovers. It has the most modern facilities for skiing and snowboarding. The Chestnut Mountain Resort offers a 475-foot vertical drop, which will thrill skiers! There are 17 trails from beginner to expert levels at elevations of up to 3,500 feet. The trails are also open for snowboarding. Other winter sports include snowshoeing, tobogganing and sledding. Outdoor sport enthusiasts can choose from a large variety of options including biking, running, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, horse riding and swimming in the summer. Be sure to take a hayride at the Palace Campground. |
