The Magic Valley South Central Idaho is called the Magic Valley for its astounding geographic formations and creations. In Twin Lakes you will find the shocking Snake River Canyon. This canyon is over 486 feet deep and 1500 feet across in some places and can be viewed from the Perrine Bridge that is over 1,500 feet long and almost 500 feet high. In the area you will also find Shoshone Falls that at 212 feet are higher than Niagara. Near the town of Hagerman you can find one of the most mystifying natural sights in the country. The Thousand Springs pour from the solid rock gorge face into the Snake River. These falls are a result of and underground aquifer formed from the Lost River. Avid climbers are joined by the amazed at the City of Rocks. These Granite Boulders abruptly climb 600 feet above the ground and provide great rock climbing, as well as, great photography opportunities. |
