If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas, we invite you to stay with us for a taste of rural island life.
My family and I are long time residents of the beautiful Puna district on the east, and more lush, side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Along with our home, on a five acre tropical estate, we run a small alternative home school and host a petting zoo of twenty-some animals, including Little Sweetie, our 800+ pound pet pig.
Five lovely, one bedroom and studio size, family style cottages, our 40 foot lagoon pool, a private regulation tennis court, playgrounds and a picturesque gazebo are available for your use.
We are located just 20 miles south of Hilo (between Kea'au and Pahoa) and are centrally located for visiting the active volcano, lovely botanical gardens, thermal hot pools and black sand beaches. It is just minutes to picturesque lava cliffs perfect for whale watching and turtle sightings, to little known hiking trails, or to historic Pahoa village with its quaint shops and choice of ethnic restaurants.
The cottages, which sleep from two to five, are set amidst large lawns, graceful palm trees and an assortment of fruit trees. Each has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, TV/VCR, private phone, ceiling fans and a full bath.
Our rates are especially reasonable.$70 to $95 per night with a three night minimum for each cottage. We also offer weekly and monthly rates, as well as group rates and senior discounts. Reservations may be confirmed with a 20% deposit. We are happy to accept Visa or Mastercard.
