The property is a one story elevated house, which means the living area is raised over the street level and occupies the top floor of the house. Although it appears to be a two story house, in reality there is only one story occupied by the living areas. The lower floor is occupied by a two car garage, an enclosed area that we use as a game room, and a terrace by the pool.
The house has three bedrooms, family, dining, living, two baths, kitchen, laudry and a breakfast area. The bedrooms are equipped with a kingsize bed in the master bedroom, a queensize bed, and the third one has two twin beds.
There is a washer, dryer, iron and board in the laundry room. The house is equipped with a central vacuum system. There is tile throughout the house.
You will find a 25" stereo TV in the family room, as well as a VCR and a mini-stereo system (radio, dual tape deck and 3-CD changer). The stereo is hooked to speakers in the family room as well as the pool area, in case you want to listen to music while enjoying a barbecue. There is an additional 25" stereo TV on the master bedroom. Basic Comcast Cable is provided.
In the game room we have set up a pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, and a hammock. There is also a gas grill in the terrace by the pool.
The heated pool is 33x13, a nice size if you want to excersice with a few laps. The heater is electric, so you can enjoy a nice water temperature every day of the year. As you can see in the pictures, a lanai covers the entire pool area.
The back of the house faces a wide canal (aprox. 80 feet). There is a 40' wide dock and 10,000 pound boat lift. There are about 25' of dock available if you want to bring your own boat or rent one locally. You can also use it for fishing.
Marco Island is a very small island and everything is close to everything. The property is located at 1642 Rainbow Ct (click here to display a map), just a couple of blocks from a Publix supermarket, Walgreens pharmacy and a shopping center with a variety of stores and restaurants.
There are two public beaches in the island. One located at the north end and the other at the south end. Both beaches are a bit far to walk to them, but only a couple of minutes by car. The private beach is at walking distance but restricted to island residents. South Beach is easily accessible by bicycle, which we provide for your convenience.
Click here for directions to the closest boat ramp. The ride to the ramp by car is less than 5 minutes, on the water is about 15 minutes.
