Daytona Beach has become a synonym for speed. The city shot to fame in 1939 when the Daytona International Speedway opened. The Speedway hosts auto-racing events including the NASCAR Daytona 500. Auto racing enthusiasts surge to this temple of speed to cheer this spectator sport and to visit every historic site related to it. Go-carting is a great attraction here and most courses have challenging hairpin bends. |
