Bradenton Beach is the epitome of “Old Florida” with two lane roads, roadside bait and tackle shops, and quaint homes and inns.

Located on the southern end of Anna Maria Island, Bradenton Beach keeps its historical presence with quaint seaside inns and small cottages that line its shores. This beach and town is known for its tropical charm with its narrow winding streets, sugar white sand beaches, abundant wildlife, and vibrant mixture of rustic, historic, and contemporary buildings. Unlike more populated and developed areas of Florida’s coast, this small beachfront community has kept out the major high rise buildings and commercialized shops and restaurants with live bait, pizza, and ice cream shops lining its two lane thoroughfare. In the center of town, visitors will find Historic Bridge Street. Stroll along the first bridge to connect the island to the mainland and visit its restored fishing pier that was made out of pieces of the original bridge. Enjoy rides on bike or by car along the Bradenton Beach Scenic Highway and enjoy the scenic views along this beautiful stretch of highway. Nearby areas include Sarasota, the Tampa Bay area, and Venice where visitors can take day trips to experience more of what Florida’s West Coast has to offer. A great community with beautiful beaches and a unique way of life, Bradenton Beach makes for a great vacation escape. |
