" Home Run" is a newly remodeled, large, kid and dog-friendly ski house 1/4 mile from the downhill's Home Run and a five minute walk to the lake; truly, a pristine ski-in and ski-out environment. It stays pristine because there are no vehicles at the upper residences in the winter-the snow is too deep! Therefore, alternative transportation like a snowmobile (rentals @ BV Snomobile 209-753-2323) is necessary. Also, Dan (209-753-2581) will arrange pick up and delivery for you. You can cross country everywhere-we're just a mile from the village. Don't worry, it only adds to the adventure and kids love it.
This is a wonderful house for families; the loft has three beds, the upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a single and enjoys spectacular morning color. The first floor bedroom has a king bed and attached bath. The dining table seats eight. There is no television at Home Run. There is a piano, a fireplace and a view. There are no nightclubs in Bear Valley but there are more stars than you've ever seen.
Many of our guests prefer the warmer seasons; colorful Spring and Autumn and the warmth of the music festival in the Summer. They enjoy the hot tub on the 1300 square feet of decking after a full day of activities-just as the skiers enjoy the fire after theirs.
Those who love Bear Valley for its solitude also love the ease of its travel. There are no mountain passes to traverse - just a straight shot through the foothill's wine country to the top!
