The State Park The Mount Magazine State Park and its visitor center is the hub for all information on Mount Magazine’s attractions. For hiking enthusiasts there are trails to explore. The Bear Hollow Trail will take you through creeks and beautiful waterfalls. The North Rim trail explores oak, cedar, and hardwood forests and gurgling streams before it brings you to windy, rocky ledges that offer panoramic views of the Arkansas River Valley and the Ozark Mountain. The Signal hill trail will take you to the highest point in the mountain. The picturesque Wild Apple Trail abounding with wildflowers is a historic one and was once frequented by19th century wagons. Hiking here is an elixir for the mind and body. The beckoning bluffs and cliffs are irresistible temptations for lovers of rock climbing, rappelling and hang gliding. Biking, horseback riding and backpacking are very popular too. The 34-mile trail known as the Huckleberry Mountain Trail is a charming route to take. |
