Close to Sun City are the Lake Pleasant Regional Park, White Tank Mountain Regional Park and the Pioneer Arizona Living History Museum. Lake Pleasant Park has a 10,000 acres lake, which is an anglers delight. It also provides facilities for water skiing, boating and swimming. Do not forget to go to the balcony of the visitor center to catch a breathtaking view of the lake. You will also get a good look at the Waddel Dam.
If you crave the outdoors then head to the White Tank Mountain Regional Park. The park offers several activities including horseback riding, biking, camping and hiking, among others. It also has a rare desert waterfall.
