GUNDOGAN is quiet and tranquil and still traditionally Turkish. Cows meander through the streets and villagers sell their fruit and vegetables over their garden walls. Seafood is a speciality in the waterside restaurants set on jetties. Sit here and watch the fishing boats bringing in their catches to the harbour or the windsurfers enjoying the offshore breezes. Gundogan is a centre for watersports but is also an ideal base for touring the Bodrum Peninsula - everywhere is easily accessible either by car or on public transport which is cheap and plentiful.
Experience the shopping in Bodrum - haggle for 14 carat gold, fake designer clothes, leather goods or ceramics. Enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere and the international cuisine and nightlife.
Whatever it is that you want to make your holiday complete, Gundogan and the Bodrum Peninsula have it all, a town steeped in history, castles, musuems, historical sites, shopping, sailing, diving or night-life, theme parks for children, but also stunning rugged scenery and relaxation and probably the friendliest and most hospitable people that you will ever meet!
