Beautifully restored cave house, consisting of 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, dining area and rustic kitchen.
Fully modernised and able to accommodate up to 7 people. Outside terrace and pool for guest use.
Cool inside in summer and warm in winter. Includes a wood burner for winter use.
Cuevas Jimenez is set high on a plateau, overlooking the beautiful Castril Valley, with breathtaking views from the terrace.
The village Of Fuente Vera where Cuevas Jimenez is situated, is a traditional Spanish whitewashed village, with narrow streets and friendly people. If you want a real 'get away from it all' holiday, then this is for you.
Apart from the accommodation, we have on site our horse riding facilities, for unaccompanied rides for the experienced person. Also available is horse carriage driving, quad biking and mountain biking, with hire direct from us.
The local town of Castril boasts many cafes and bars where the food is excellent.
An airport pick up can be provided if required, but a car is essential if you wish to go sightseeing around the area. There are plenty of places to visit, such as Negratin Lake, the Thermal Baths at Zujar, and of course the Alhambra Palace in Granada.
This holiday is a 'please yourself' type - if all you want to do is sit on the terrace or by the pool whilst other members of the party are more active, then this is for you.
A relaxed family atmosphere with the owners on site amongst the 2.5 acres of olive and almond trees, but not close enough to be obtrusive!
There are various Fiestas in the local towns and villages, mainly during Bank Holiday times.
The main event in this area has to be the famous Bull Running which takes place in Castril itself during October. Please note that the bulls do not suffer and this has nothing to do with bull fighting.
In Castril there is a beautiful walk through the woods and on a galleried platform. Quite spectacular!
