Situated in the typical Tuscan country side, Molino le Gualchiere is an old mill nestling at the foot of the Pratomagno mountains just below the medieval village of Loro Ciuffenna facing towards the Chianti hills.The farm borders the Ciuffenna stream and produces wine, olive oil, fruit and vegetables. The buildings have been restored traditional, creating four attractive apartments in and around the main house.
Description of the Apartments
Padronale - Sleeps 6 (7 with extra bed)
Located at first and second floor. On first floor: 2 bedrooms (1 with double bed and shower en suite and one with twinbeds), one bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, ample traditional kitchen with beam ceiling, stone sink and fireplace, spacious living room with open fireplace. Big terrace partially covered.
On second floor: big bedroom with double bed, large window with view over the property, dressing room with bathroom en suite with shower.
La Casetta - Located at the first floor. Sleeps 4/5; 2 double bedrooms, kitchen living dining room with open fire place. Bathroom with shower. Large terrace.
Le Stalle - Located at the ground floor. Sleeps 4/5; 2 double bedrooms (one with 4 poster bed). Kitchen living dining room.Bathroom with shower and tub. Patio with pergola.
La Stanzina - Located at the ground floor. Sleeps 2/3; 1 double bedroom and 1 small single bedroom, small living dining room with kitchenette. One bathroom with shower plus shower in double bedroom. Small patios.
La Capanna - Located at the first floor. Sleeps 2/4; 2 double bedrooms, one with open fireplace. Kitchen living dining room. Bathrooms with shower. Large terrace.
Directions from the Autostrada del Sole (A1 - Firenze/Roma). Exit the autostrada at the Valdarno exit (approx. 40km south of Firenze Sud off ramp). Follow signs to the village of Loro Ciuffenna (approx. 8km.)From Loro Ciuffenna, follow direction Arezzo (for approx. 2km) until you reach a large Villa by the name of Colombaio on your right turn immediately right after the villa following the sign for Molino le Gualchiere along the dirt road for approx. 300m . Turn left and follow the farm tract towards the "Molino".
