Casa Lucchese is a spacious Sicilian country house located in a secluded beautiful, breathtaking, rural location. This 19th century character property is set close to the Sicilian coast, just 4 miles from the bustling and busy historic centre of Sciacca and 6 miles from the best sandy beaches.This superb country house has recently been completely renovated and modernised whilst capturing all its original charm with exposed beams, ceramic and hard floor boards.Very comfortably furnished to a high standard the contry house is spacious, yet cosy and has been very well equipped, with most of the fittings and furnishings being new. Access is along scenic private driveway less than 1 mile long - worth every moment! The property covers some 10 acres and is surrounded by hectares of olive groves with sweeping views of the Sicilian hinterland. As far as the eye can see, there are gently rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves.The area is extremely quiet and peaceful with stunning views of countryside, remote enough that you rarely hear any noise but the sounds of birds singing. There are excellent walking opportunities in the hilly countryside (there are almost no fences here and the farmers encourage you to go where you like). This property is perfectly situated for those in search of peace and quiet, ideal for large groups..Casa Lucchese guarantees the most absolute privacy and intimacy to those who wish to spend a special holiday far from the madding crowd. This is an ideal base for touring throughout the western part of Sicily, and even most of the highlight of the island, all of which are within an easy drive.
Casa Lucchese (240 sq.mt on two stories) can sleep 10 people and has an infant cot available.
On the ground floor the main entrance of the house takes you directly into the huge drawing room with wood burning fireplace and a stone staircase.The views from the house are absolutely stunning, with all the windows framing a picture of the lovely Sicilian countryside at its best.The spacious interiors have been restored to a very high standard, in an authentic country style and tastefully decorated with an interesting mix of furnishings and antiques.Wood vaulted ceilings and ceramics tile floors. One double bedroom downstairs, a lobby leads to a bathroom with shower, behind a glass door a fully equipped kitchen with a wooden table that comfortably seats eight stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, coffee-pot, food processor, dishes,microwawes,avon,etc. The property is fully equipped for comfortable self catering, the appliances are new. An excellent caliber of housekeeping (including linen, towels and blankets) is provided. Satellite television, radio/cassette and cd player are provided. washing machine (clothes are line dried, of course) and ironing board. The downstairs area opens into the furnished terrace with stunning view over the small medieval Baglio di Lucchese.
The first floor is under a sloping roof with exposed beams and floor boards. A flight of steps takes you on to a large landing with hand-crafted wrought wood balustrade.The upstairs boasts a delightful view of the mountains, it consist in 3 large double bedrooms with beautiful view over the valley below. A lobby leads you to the bathroom (with tub). Its position renders air conditioning superfluous as the heat is very rarely uncomfortable. The property has free-standing fans. Single beds can be added to the double and twin bedrooms.The lay out is very comfortable and in keeping with the rustic character of the original farmhouse. A lot of light comes in through the windows. All of the rooms have been renovated and elegantly furnished with special care, nearly all of them with antique sicilian furniture.Though full countryside, you may reach the coast in only 15 minutes, where you may find several beaches.
So, this property is perfect for those who love the country but do not want to renounce to the fun of a good swim in the blue sea of Sicily. A car would be necessary
