Welcome to Palatine Hill Bed and Breakfast, a secluded, country B&B near Niagara-on-the-Lake, "the prettiest town in Canada". Niagara on the Lake is a place of old world, small-town charm, nestled in the junction of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, just 10 miles from Niagara Falls. The Niagara Region is rich with numerous historical sites and natural attractions that can occupy your family's interests for a day, a weekend or longer.
The original Prussian homesteaders on the property, the Servos family from the Palatinate in Germany, first settled near Niagara-on-the-Lake in 1783. The family cemetery and ruins of the Palatine settlement can still be viewed and artifacts are displayed at the NOTL Museum.
Come and follow the paths to the meandering stream or explore our forest. Bike to nearby Niagara award-winning wineries and join the tours and tastings. Cherish the moment and relax in the gazebo with a book, or stroll to a neighbour's farm and savour some fresh-picked Niagara fruit. The B&B home and hosts are child-friendly, so bring your children along for a memorable family holiday. The property is an ideal location for outdoor garden events, such as weddings, receptions and special parties. Many wonderful memories have begun at Palatine Hill Bed and Breakfast.
Presently, Palatine Hill Bed and Breakfast is the site of a unique and spacious passive-solar retreat home, built by Elsa and Ed, set in a mature park-like forest on the outskirts of Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Bed and Breakfast has an open concept kitchen, dining and living area with soaring cathedral ceilings, large window walls and skylights, setting a delightful tone for the full breakfast. Three beautiful guest-rooms, each with ensuite bath, are situated on the lower, private level of the quiet, peaceful home. Two rooms have private garden entrances and generous views of the forest, birds and wildlife.
