We can accommodate most any budget. You can stay in our fully
equipped studio with a pull-out couch or you can upgrade to a 1-
bedroom. If 2 couples are looking for a weeks vacation, no problem, we can open another door and give you 2-bedrooms or 1700 sqft. In total you can sleep as many as 6 adults. We accept children under 1 years of age and children over the age of 16. Pets of any kind are always welcome.
Lochside is located 2 minutes from the Village of Haliburton on
Grass Lake which is part of the famous Haliburton 5 lake chain. This makes it convienient for both summer and winter rentals.
Our rental cottage is situated on 1 acre of property with 150 feet
of spectacular waterfront. We are south facing so sunshine is abound all day at the beach. Borrow one of our kayaks and discover the 5 different lakes we are part of or paddle into Haliburton village, just a 10 paddle ride.
Our waterfront is clean and weed free. We have a small beach that slopes in gently. Our dock goes out and has a ladder on the end for those who like to swimm off the dock.
Because our lake is not busy with watercraft taffic it fosters lots
of wildlife. Loons and Great Blue Herrons are an everyday site and
sound. On permitting nights you can have a bon fire.
As you enter this executive rental you immediately know you are
someplace special. Everywhere you look you see quality, attention
to detail and a realization that the owners care and are proud of
their property.
The rental cottage can be a studio (700sqft), 1-bedroom (1,000 sqft) or 2-bedrooms (1,700 sqft), the living area is open concept with a spectacular walk-out and view of the lake. It has a full size
kitchen, dinning area, King sized bed, 2 twins or queen and large
bathroom. All the furnishings are antiques with a Mexican flair.
There is also a screened in porch and a coverd porch. Perfect for
that romantic week with your favorite person and pet.
In the winter enjoy the snow and access to your frozen Grass Lake
which leads to the rest of the 5 lake chain. What makes this cottage so exceptional in winter is the easy 2 minute drive to Haliburton Village and if you are into downhill skiing, Sir Sam's Ski Area is an easy 15 minute drive from the cottage. Cross country trails are also nearby and there are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails from which to choose from.
Our gardens are spectacular and we have a stone fountain just
outside your door. you'll enjoy your time at Lochside as we like a
quiet peaceful envirnoment.
