| Eleuthera Vacation Rentals Bahamas Vacation Lodging |
The island of Eleuthera is the most beautiful of all the islands in the Bahamas. One hundred miles long and scarcely a mile wide in most places, the sun can be seen rising over the Atlantic and setting over the Caribbean. but this isn't Nassau or Freeport - there are no casinos or cruise ships, or many tourists for that matter. This is a quiet island, where you will often be the only people on the beach for as far as you can see. Prince Charles and Diana chose Eleuthera for privacy and seclusion on their honeymoon. Direct flights arrive Governor's Harbour daily from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Nassau. The rental's are 7 miles from the airport
Piccola sleeps 7 (shown on the right) and Piccolino sleeps 8. Both are fully furnished with linens, towels, and kitchen facilities, in a self catering residential atmosphere. They are located in the center of the island and are walking distance to the beaches, and are situated in the town of Governor's Harbour. Many guests have said "absolutely one of the best rentals in the Bahamas".
People who come to our properties generally want to enjoy the clean sand and crystal clear water on the beaches, and relish the fact they can walk for a mile without seeing another footprint. In addition, there are sights such as the 'Glass Window', cliffs over the Atlantic, Smuggler's Cave, and the 'Ocean Hole' - destinations which make daytrips and exploring fun - as well as a golf course on the southern end of the Island if you're so inclined. Local shops and restaurants provide unique seafood, bakery goods, and candies.
We want our guests to be satisfied when they go home, so its just as important to understand what you won't find on Eleuthera, before you make a decision. There are no casinos or amusement parks, no chain restaurants or big city nightclubs, and little need for fancy clothes. In fact there's not much commerce devoted to tourism at all - you will be living in the local economy and shopping in the same places the local people use. There are nice restaurants in Governor's Harbour and also in Palmetto Point, only five miles to the South.
