The Retreat overlooks the Tasman Sea and is backed by lush rainforest inhabited by kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, possums and lyrebirds. It is an ornithologist's dream come true with an abundance of parrots, rosellas, honeysuckers, finches and nightbirds.

The Surf Beach Retreat is located on the beautiful south coast of New South Wales 10km south of the resort town of Batemans Bay. Our local airport is just twenty minutes away and we are happy to pick up and return our flying-in guests. Surf Beach and Batemans Bay are also stopovers for bus coaches travelling from Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Have a hit, day or night, on the all weather tennis court. Basketball is also played and indoors you can try your hand at table tennis.
Archery is also available for aspiring 'William Tells' or 'Robin Hoods'.
The Retreat's outdoor Café Verandah is the ideal place to unwind with a great coffee or a glass of champagne, enjoying a Bavarian Applestrudel or Cape Town doughnuts - chatting, reading, or just sitting back and taking in the fresh air and wonderful ocean outlooks. Here you may have to share your applestrudel with king parrots or rosellas!
For your pure pampering luxury, our resident therapist will treat you with a relaxing Swedish or Shiatsu massage combined with aromatherapy and reflexology and the latest Slimtone treatments - the new technology for weight control, body shape and toning - just arrived from overseas and taking Australia by storm. We also provide beauty treatments.
-Meetings and Conferences
We are fully equipped for small conferences to a maximum of 40 people. There are two conference rooms with a capacity of up to 40 people and four break-out rooms each holding up to 20 people. Our restaurant seats 60 and the outdoor Ocean View Café Verandah seats 70.
The Retreat is only minutes away from safe, clean beaches, secret coves and diving spots, beach and ocean fishing, golf, galleries, gold panning, native and exotic animal sanctuaries and so much more.
Facilities also include safe onsite parking, barbeques, tour desk etc.
