ARUBA
Aruba has a population of nearly 100 000 inhabitants and is extremely safe. There is barely no delinquency at all. It has a very modern fully equipped hospital (2 clinics are also located less than 5 miles from the house). Aruba has also a modern phone system for your fax and modem and the water is safe to drink everywhere. Services from the Government and from the banks are also very efficient. The major industry is tourism with tourists all year round and the local Arawak Indian and Dutch population is very friendly and helpful. There are 4 large American style supermarkets with products from around the world. . No taxes on foreign income and on resale of a residential property. Finally, the weather is always perfect (that is, if you like year round 82 to 86 degree temperatures, bright sunny skies, refreshing trade winds and crystal clear 82 degree, calm, turquoise Caribbean water every day of the year).
It is sunny and breezy all year long. Various languages are spoken on the island. You can live in English in Aruba : Everybody speaks it, there are several newspapers in English, most TV channels are in that language and you can use the US dollar anywhere . There are direct and daily flights from many cities in USA and Europe.
